For whatever reason I never wrote about some smaller films I saw during my time at the New York Film Festival last year. This has been sitting in my draft queue ever since. I figured I could still share because you can now see all these films on DVD and some might be worth adding to your queue. The best of the 5 are definitely Footnote and Kid With A Bike. I would personally stir clear of Abel Ferrera’s 4:44 Last Day on Earth. I mean no shade on him but it was not good. If you have the patience Corpo Celeste and Goodbye, First Love are slow and quite ones with a nice pay off and they are both directed by women if that helps at all. Now should probably write the few films I saw at Tribeca this year but I am very lazy.
